The role

Our Operations Management Graduate Scheme within our brick and block business has been designed to make sure you develop all the necessary skills you’ll need to kickstart a successful career in the manufacturing industry.

During the scheme, you will be given complete exposure across our leading business practices within the brick and block business – with the opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals on-site instead of the classroom. 

The 24month scheme has been tailormade for you to evolve your knowledge and understand how all aspects of operations from technical and engineering, to leading operational people and projects affect our everyday business – while offering you the freedom to pursue your own path.

You’ll begin with an initial induction period before rotating across different teams, such as Production, Quality or Engineering, featuring a variety of live projects. You will learn how a site operates from the factory floor to operational management level, playing an important role in the implementation of key projects and striving to meet the objectives of our operational sites.

On successful completion of your scheme you’ll have covered all aspects of operations management which gives you plenty of options for your first permanent role whether that be in shift management, production management, quality assurance or engineering management.

As one of our Graduates, you will be paired with a senior mentor who will guide you with qualified support and advice throughout the programme. To support your ongoing development, we’ll also expect you to complete a variety of business projects throughout the process, using the experience and insight gained during your placements to contribute towards your junior management consultant qualification.

You’ll need to have gained a degree in a relevant discipline such as materials science, engineering, operations management or business management. We want pro-active people who can take responsibility for any projects they are assigned. You’ll also need to possess excellent IT and presentation skills, and be able to communicate with staff at all levels.

The details 

Duration: 24 Months

Requirements: A 2:1 degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Material Science, Engineering, Industrial Management, Operations Management, Production Management, Procurement etc). 

Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the
country if required.

Salary: £27,000 per annum
