At Forterra, we nurture our employees towards achieving their career goals, providing them with an innovative and supportive environment to develop their skills alongside industry professionals. If you’re thinking big and striving towards a broad and varied career in operations management, please apply.
Our Bison Operations Management Graduate Scheme has been designed to make sure you develop all the necessary skills you’ll need to kickstart a successful career within Forterra’s pre-cast concrete business.
During the programme, you will be given complete exposure across the Bison business processes and with the opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals on-site instead of the classroom. You’ll spend time learning the production processes for our many products such as hollowcore, jet floor, and beam and block.
The 24-month programme has been tailormade for you to evolve your knowledge and understand how the business operates from point of order, right through to installation.
You’ll begin with an initial induction period before rotating at six-month intervals between different functions, such as Engineering, Quantity Surveying and the wider commercial team, featuring a variety of live projects. You will learn how a site operates from the factory floor to operational management level, playing an important role in the implementation of key projects and striving to meet the objectives of our operational sites.
As one of our Graduates, you will be paired with a senior mentor who will guide you with qualified support and advice throughout the programme. To support your ongoing development, we’ll also expect you to complete a variety of business projects throughout the process, using the experience and insight gained during your placements to contribute towards your junior management consultant qualification.
This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate looking to fast track their career while earning a competitive salary with some amazing benefits. As part of our unique programme, we are looking for focused, motivated and enthusiastic individuals to help us stay ahead of the game and lead us towards further success in the future.
You’ll need to have gained a degree in a relevant discipline such as construction management, quantity surveying or civil engineering.
