Want to know more about what our graduate scheme is really like? We asked our recent graduates, who are now working in different roles around the business, to share their experiences of the Forterra graduate scheme.
Since Joining Forterra I have developed a strong understanding of how a large Business operates. Within the first six months, I was presented many opportunities to develop my industry knowledge and personal skills. My first rotation was within Project Management and Health & Safety aimed to enhance the business through continuous improvement. The Graduate Scheme is really living up to my expectations and will lead to a successful future within Forterra.
Studying civil engineering I wanted a career that kept me at the core of the construction industry-a business that manufactures building materials is as close as anyone could possibly get.
Forterra’s graduate scheme gives you a multitude of opportunities, with full business exposure in the form of running your own projects as well as the chance of gaining valuable qualifications throughout the process.
I joined Forterra as a Commercial Graduate in September 2018 after graduating with a degree in Business Management. I’ve since had the opportunity to manage a variety of projects, which have built upon my product knowledge and skills.
The Graduate Scheme has allowed me to gain exposure across various areas of the business, and tailor a career within Forterra that’s suited to me.
I joined Forterra in September 2018 after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a degree in Aerospace Engineering.
I really enjoy working at Forterra as each day is different. I have had the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of different projects and meet people across the organisation.
The graduate scheme at Forterra has equipped me with the skills that I need to progress in my career.
I graduated from University in 2019 with an International Business Degree. I started at Forterra in September on the Operations management Graduate Scheme and I’ve just finished my induction process. The induction involved travelling round all sites within the business gaining exposure to a number of different departments before going into the Bison business. The reason why I selected Forterra is due to the flexibility of the rotations throughout the 2 year scheme as well as the future prospects the company can offer.
I recently graduated from Coventry University with a degree in manufacturing engineering and was eager to start my career in the manufacturing industry.
I was looking for a graduate opportunity that provided hands on experience with opportunities for career progression and that is what I found at Forterra.
I have really enjoyed my first few months with the business and I look forwards too many more to come.
