Commercial and Logistics Internship

The role

Join us for 12 months and you’ll have the chance to develop valuable skills and expertise as part of our commercial & logistics team. 

On our commercial & logistics scheme, you’ll be hands on at the forefront of our business working with our customers, suppliers and operational teams. You’ll start by gaining exposure to our sales processes, learning about products and services, right through to logistics and invoicing. 

You will spend time helping us drive sales by building strong relationships on dedicated customer accounts and by successfully handling all kinds of queries from within our customer service centre.  Other areas you will gain exposure include reporting and data analysis to drive and optimise efficiencies within logistics.

To ensure you get up to speed as quickly as possible, the internship kicks off with a full induction and we’ll provide you with technical training on our products and services on an ongoing basis. You’ll also learn by shadowing experts on the job and by taking part in various strategic projects alongside an experienced mentor. 

Throughout the year, we will check in regularly on your progress to make sure you’re getting as much out of the experience as possible. 

We hope at the end you will finish the scheme with a brilliant base knowledge of how the business works together, which will help you jump start your career.  Perform impressively and there may well be an opportunity for you to fast-track onto our graduate scheme at the end of your internship.

The candidate

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has great people skills who can communicate and collaborate with all kinds of people for a fascinating and rewarding career in sales or logistics. We’re looking for creative problem-solvers who know how to evaluate and analyse data to inform our business decisions and strategy for the future. 

You’ll need to be enthusiastic to learn a broad range of skills over a short period of time and willing to challenge the ‘status quo’ and able to present views convincingly in a clear and consistent manner.

You may be studying towards a degree in a relevant discipline such as business and supply chain management, Logistics and supply chain management or business Management. Whatever your degree, please apply.  We’re looking for the right individuals not specific degree disciplines.

Duration: 12+ months

Requirements: You may be studying towards a degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. business and supply chain management, Logistics and supply chain management or business Management).

Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the
country if required.

Location: Peterborough, Northampton

Salary: £17,000 per annum
