Operations Management Internship (Bison Precast)

At Forterra, we nurture our employees towards achieving their career goals, providing them with an innovative and supportive environment to develop their skills alongside industry professionals. Looking to kickstart a successful career in the manufacturing industry? If you’re striving towards a career in operations management, please apply.

The role

Join us on a 12-month operations management internship within Forterra’s pre-cast concrete business, and you can get all the exposure, experience and insight you need.

Working on site alongside experienced professionals, you will learn about the operational processes for many of our products such as hollowcore, jet floor, and beam and block from point of sale right through to installation.  It’s a great opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and commercial skills while seeing first-hand how a manufacturing site operates, from operational management level to the factory floor.

To ensure you get up to speed as quickly as possible, the internship kicks off with a full induction and we’ll provide you with training on our products on an ongoing basis. You’ll also learn by shadowing experts on the job and by taking part in various strategic projects alongside an experienced mentor.

Throughout the year, we will check in regularly on your progress to make sure you’re getting as much out of the experience as possible. Perform impressively and there may well be an opportunity for you to fast-track onto our graduate scheme at the end of your internship.

We are looking for focused, motivated people who are interested in developing the skills and knowledge they’ve gained at university into a highly rewarding career.
