A Century of Craftmanship

Red Bank has been producing high quality building products at our site in Measham, Leicestershire, since just after the end of the Great War and are currently celebrating their centenary year. Over the last 100 years, Red Bank has gained a wealth of experience and expertise and can provide an excellent technical service for the whole product range.

Our craftsmen, some second and third generation with up to 50 years’ service, employ centuries old skills and techniques alongside modern technology to deliver the highest quality products.

Our clay items are produced by a variety of methods including hand moulding and mechanical extrusion. The clayware range of chimney pots, inserts, air bricks and ridges are complemented by the concrete flue system range.

UK-sourced clays, most of which come from our own quarry on site, and minerals are used to produce the red, buff and slatebody mix colours that Red Bank are renowned for giving us a product range, which is of high quality and durability.

Red Bank products add distinction and character to both modern and traditional architecture. Our off-the-shelf range and specialist bespoke production have been used on many historical buildings and prestigious restoration projects. Previous undertakings include work on behalf of the National Trust, English Heritage and, more recently, for National Rail where they provided us with a sample for Red Bank’s craftsmen to replicate.
